European Conference: The New EU Concessions Directive

The long awaited new EU rules for Concessions have been approved by the European Parliament on 15 January 2014, which are part of the overall modernization initiative of public procurement in the EU. For the first time, this new legislation sets common EU standards for the selection, awarding and contracting of works and services concessions. Contracting authorities and suppliers need to prepare on how to implement and apply the forthcoming rules in their national context.
